Day 14:Rainy doesn't mean boring

We were supposed to start out the day watching the sunrise in Torres on a cliff over looking the ocean but unfortunately the weather had other plans for us. We decided we would watch the sunrise the next day rain or shine in the morning since it would be our last day in Torres. Many of us went down to the beach even though it was a pretty rainy and gloomy day. It was still beautiful with the waves rolling in.

We then met up for lunch at an all you can eat buffet. After lunch we met to discuss our thoughts and take aways from the favela. Personally, it made me realize how lucky I am and that no matter what I have no reason to be down because the people living there have so much less than me and still manage to put a smile on their face every day.

After our discussion, we had more free time to explore the town of Torres. It had many interesting shops since it is a tourist town for Brazilians in the summertime. We then had dinner at the hotel restaurant.
